Security Officer - Airport Part Time

Position: Airport Traffic Control Officer in Honolulu, HI
. You will serve and safeguard the airport, its facilities, travelers, directing and managing flow of traffic, enforcing security protocols and procedures to deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff. Your presence and routine patrols will support a secure environment while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication.

Position Type: Part Time - Afternoon

Pay Rate: $19.23 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $4.30. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM

• 20+ Years of Age
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam

• Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and/or staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, documenting events, and/or assisting with scene control until additional resources arrive.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of terminal areas, parking areas, access roads, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas by checking credentials, verifying access authorization, and/or directing individuals to appropriate entry procedures.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate status updates to supervisors and/or client representatives as needed.

• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs (preferred).
• Customer service experience (preferred).
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• A Guard Card and/or license (preferred).
• Be at least 20 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation as required by applicable laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment depending on state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
