As a Airport Law Enforcement Officer - Armed Patrol in Honolulu, HI, you will safeguard the airport, staff, and its facilities. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication to all visitors and staff. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a secure environment while working as part of a dedicated team that values agility, reliability, and integrity.

• Position Type:
  Part Time - Overnight
• Pay Rate: $28.86 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $3.58. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

• Friday: 11:30 PM – 08:00 AM
• Sunday: 11:30 PM – 08:00 AM

To be considered, all applicants must meet the following criteria:

• 2+ years of professional law enforcement experience in the U.S. after graduating from a certified law enforcement academy (Federal, State, or County level).

• Graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or Equivalent (must provide credentials upon applying)
• Valid Driver’s License
• Law Enforcement Officer License
• 22+ years of age

The basic qualifications listed below are representative of the relevant knowledge, skills, and/or experience required in order to be hired. These are requirements that we have determined are the minimum a candidate must have in order to be successful in this role.

• Applicant must complete one of the following approved programs:
  Certified State law enforcement recruit training;
  Certified County law enforcement recruit training;
  Federal law enforcement training;
  Programs approved by the Director.
• No felony convictions or convictions for abuse of a household member under Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968 (18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(9)) or documented truthfulness infractions in violation of Giglio/Henthorn for federal impeachment proceedings (referring to the decisions in Giglio v. United States, 405 U.S. 105 (1972) and United States v. Henthorn, 931
  
  F. 2d 29 (9th Cir. 1991)).

• Must be able to supervise contractor’s personnel and work effectively with airport management, tenants, other law enforcement agencies, and the public on matters relating to security disputes, complaints on the performance, conduct or behavior of subordinate employees.

• Shall have no record of moral turpitude, domestic violence, untruthfulness, or mental or emotional disorders which may interfere with performance of duties.

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
• Exercise sound judgement and render immediate, appropriate decisions, under stressful conditions.
• Demonstrate maturity in conduct, behavior, and attitude.
• Take orders, follow instructions, accept, and assume responsibility for one’s actions.
• Show alertness, attentiveness, and professional conduct; recognize, respond and take appropriate corrective action to various situations.
• Maintain strong moral character and truthfulness.
• Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, in English.
• Show courtesy in interpersonal relationships with the public, airport employees, tenants, law enforcement and security personnel.
• LEOs may be required to provide a court appearance for citations that are issued on behalf of DOTA;
  Contractor shall provide replacement staffing for LEOs required to attend court proceedings.
