As a Airport Traffic Control Officer in Honolulu, HI
, you will serve and safeguard the airport, its facilities, travelers, directing and managing flow of traffic, enforcing security protocols and procedures helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff. Your presence and routine patrols will support a secure environment while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Position Type:
Part Time - Morning

Pay Rate: $19.23 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $4.30. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Job Schedule: Day Time Thur 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM, Fri 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM, Sun 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM

Requirements:
  • 20+ Years of Age
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam
What You'll Do:
  • Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate channels when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout public areas, restricted access points, exterior perimeters, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, check credentials and/or access authorizations as required, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Support daily operations by documenting incidents, providing directions and assistance, and communicating with site contacts and public agencies during routine and emergency situations.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 20 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
