This full‑time opportunity functions in our state‑of‑the‑art 24/7 Alarm Monitoring Center as an Alarm Monitoring Representative working a Mid‑Shift, 2nd, or 3rd shift schedule which includes holidays and weekends.
Alarm Monitoring Operators are responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers by accurately and efficiently responding to alarm signals. They manage alarm events, verify security information, notify and update emergency services such as fire and police agencies, and ensure customers are properly notified of events. The role is similar to that of a 911 emergency dispatcher and requires attentiveness and quick, accurate response in a life‑safety environment.
Responsibilities- Respond to all incoming alarm signals in our automation software according to documented procedures.
- When appropriate, call the premises, notify authorities, and call a list of contacts.
- Log all information into the automation system immediately and accurately.
- Answer the multi‑line telephone system.
- Ensure confidentiality of customer information at all times.
- High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
- 1–3 years of work experience.
- Typing speed of 30+ words per minute; candidates must complete a pre‑hire assessment for typing.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to perform duties with a high degree of urgency and accuracy.
- Good interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
- Positive attitude toward teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Successful completion of paid training and passing of final exam certifying skill as an Alarm Monitoring Operator.
