Position Summary
ANSER is seeking a Security Manager to lead and administer a comprehensive security program supporting sensitive government and defense operations within a cleared contractor environment. You will serve as the primary security point of contact for the supported program, facility, or contract and is responsible for ensuring compliance with Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), federal, and customer security requirements.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Manage the overall security program for a TS/SCI-cleared contractor environment, including personnel, physical, information, operational, and communications security functions.
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, SOPs, and internal controls aligned with government and customer requirements.
- Administer personnel security activities, including clearance processing, access determinations, visit requests, onboarding/offboarding, indoctrinations, debriefings, and records management.
- Utilize DISS and other authorized systems to process personnel security actions and maintain accurate security records.
- Manage badging, visitor control, escort procedures, access rosters, credentials, and accountability measures for controlled facilities and restricted areas.
- Oversee physical security operations for SCIFs, secure work spaces, and classified environments, including alarms, intrusion detection systems, CCTV, and secure storage controls.
- Conduct inspections, self-assessments, audits, and compliance reviews; identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions.
- Investigate security incidents, violations, and breaches and coordinate required reporting and follow-up actions.
- Deliver security education and awareness training related to classified handling, insider threat awareness, reporting requirements, and physical security procedures.
- Support COMSEC and INFOSEC functions, including inventories, classified media controls, accountability procedures, and secure handling requirements.
- Coordinate with ISSM/ISSO personnel, IT teams, and program leadership to align security controls across personnel, physical, and information systems domains.
- Support emergency response, continuity planning, incident response, and threat-awareness activities.
- Serve as the primary liaison with government security offices, customer security representatives, inspectors, and contracting officials.
- Support contract startups, transitions, and facility activation efforts by establishing security processes and validating operational readiness.
- Prepare security reports, metrics, briefings, and status updates related to inspections, incidents, training, and compliance activities.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Intelligence Studies, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- 8+ years of security experience supporting cleared government, defense, intelligence, or contractor environments, including experience in a lead or senior-level role.
- Experience managing personnel security functions, including clearance processing, access control, visit requests, indoctrinations/debriefings, badging, and incident reporting.
- Experience managing physical security programs for classified or restricted facilities, including access control, visitor management, alarms, and secure storage.
- Working knowledge of TS/SCI security processes, including eligibility verification, access management, visit certifications, and reporting requirements.
- Hands-on experience using DISS and other authorized personnel security systems.
- Experience developing and enforcing security policies, SOPs, inspections, audits, incident inquiries, and corrective actions.
- Strong knowledge of applicable DoD, Intelligence Community, and federal security regulations.
- Demonstrated familiarity with COMSEC/INFOSEC requirements and coordination with information systems security personnel.
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive matters independently.
- Professional security certifications such as CPP, PSP, CISSP, SFPC, PSC, SPSC, or similar credentials.
- Experience supporting DoD, Intelligence Community, SAP, or defense contractor operations in TS/SCI environments.
