Salary Range: $32.65 - $32.65 Hourly

Global K9 Protection Group LLC is looking for a dedicated and passionate 3PK9 Explosive Detection K9 Handler to serve as an integral part of the security team.

Full‑Time

• Conduct screening operations for explosive and other hazardous materials while working with a trained Explosive Detection Canine.
• Maintain administrative records for work and training.
• House, care, maintain, and look after the welfare of assigned canine.

• Be a citizen or national of the United States
• Able to pass the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Security Threat Assessment
• Have a high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma
• Possess a valid driver’s license (Real ) and reliable transportation
• Able to pass a background check and drug screen
• Must be able to obtain a Known Traveler Number (TSA Pre‑Check) through TSA
• Licensing requirements may be subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• Can read, write, and understand English well enough to carry out written and oral instructions
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Exercise sound judgment in all areas of responsibility
• Maintain effective professional relationships with employees, outside individuals, and agencies
• Ability to understand and successfully handle various operational issues

• Complete a TSA third‑party Canine Handler Certification prior to starting work (Provided by GK9PG)
• Complete the Global K9 Solutions Explosive Detection Canine Cargo Handler Course (8‑weeks for non‑experienced, 4‑weeks for experienced canine detection dog handlers) at training location in Opelika, AL

There is a pathway to direct hire depending on K9 review and certification from a recognized training course.
