Pay Range: $25.00/hour (Relief non-overnight) - $25.50/hour (overnight)

Hilton Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa is looking for a Full-time Overnight Security Officer. Our security officer is responsible for the safety and well-being of our guests, employees and hotel property by conducting foot patrols, responding to suspicious activities, security problems and safety hazards with care and aloha. The Security Officer is also a first responder to emergencies, illnesses, injuries, disturbances, unusual incidents, etc.

The officer completes incident and daily activity reports. Assists other departments as needed to provide excellent customer service to hotel guests. Performs all other duties as assigned by the Front Office Manager.

• Conduct foot patrols using a data collector throughout the hotel property to observe, respond to, and report any suspicious activities, security problems, and safety hazards.
• Prepare computer‑generated incident reports and daily shift reports that affect the welfare and operation of the hotel and property.
• Interview guests and associates as required for the safety and welfare of all.
• Act as on‑site first responder for emergencies, such as fire, smoke, illnesses, injuries, disturbances, and unusual incidents.
• Assist guests with information, directions, or any other assistance needed.
• Assist other departments with the general operation of the hotel, e.g., traffic control, crowd control, access to secured areas, personnel escorts, money escorts, etc.
• Ensure all evidence related to hotel incidents is properly handled and maintained in a secure and safe manner.
• Conduct surveillance for the safety of all guests and associates when necessary; be proficient with the DX7100 digital video recorder.
• Provide flexible hours to accommodate emergency situations and any ongoing investigation when required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Education:

High School or better.

• 1 year:
  Hotel security experience preferred.
• 1 year:
  Prior hotel customer service experience preferred.

  Security or Law Enforcement or Emergency Services experience preferred.
