The Digital Modernization Group at Leidos is seeking a Senior Industrial Security Representative to support the Naval Enterprise Networks (NEN) Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) contract in O‘ahu, Hawaii. This is a high‑visibility role supporting a mission‑critical U.S. Navy program. The selected candidate will serve as part of a multi‑functional security project team and will be responsible for facilitating personnel, physical, and industrial security actions across multiple government facilities in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

This position is primarily based at Ford Island Pearl Harbor and supports additional local sites including Camp H.M. Smith, Marine Corps Base Hawaii Kaneohe Bay, and Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam.

About the Program

While supporting the customer, the Leidos team delivers the core backbone of the Navy‑Marine Corps Intranet, including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Through this effort, Leidos supports the Navy in unifying its shore‑based networks and data management to enhance capability, improve service delivery, and achieve substantial cost savings through a single enterprise network approach.

Position Summary

The Senior Industrial Security Representative works under the guidance of the Leidos SMIT Program Security Director and is responsible for applying Leidos security standards, policies, and practices to existing government facilities identified under the contract. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in industrial security, strong knowledge of government security requirements, and the ability to operate effectively across multiple sites and stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and provide guidance on a broad range of security matters, including classified inventory and document control, security investigations, personnel access nominations, classification management, visitor control, facility access, DD254 requirements, Program Classification Guides, Intelligence Community Directives, export‑controlled information, and applicable government security policies.
  • Support the administration and execution of industrial, personnel, physical, and information security requirements in accordance with U.S. government directives, contractual obligations, and Leidos policies.
  • Conduct and support internal security investigations, incident reporting, inquiries, and follow‑up actions, including preparing reports and recommending preventive or corrective measures.
  • Develop training materials and deliver security briefings for personnel holding collateral clearances to ensure awareness of security responsibilities and compliance requirements.
  • Apply and help implement security program measures aligned with NISPOM, SECNAV 5510.30C Personnel Security Program, SECNAV 5510.36 Information Security Program, and SECNAV 5500.35 Physical Security Program.
  • Collaborate with Leidos stakeholders to identify, document, and support security requirements for applications, devices, hardware, systems, and services used across the program.
  • Partner with internal teams and local military commands to develop and implement effective strategies that mitigate vulnerabilities, maintain continuity of operations, and protect the organization from security risks.
  • Represent the program at project meetings and calls as the designated security professional, providing subject matter expertise and security‑related guidance.
  • Identify and implement practical, innovative security solutions while operating within program, contractual, and operational constraints.
  • Perform ad‑hoc site inspections at local government and contractor facilities to assess compliance and support program security objectives.
  • Draft, review, update, and maintain internal security policies, standard operating procedures, and instructional materials related to the industrial security program.
