Position Type: Part Time
Pay Rate: $28.86 / Hour plus an hourly bonus of $3.58
Job Schedule- Mon: 03:30 PM – 12:00 AM
- Sun: 03:30 PM – 12:00 AM
- Graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or Equivalent (must provide credentials upon applying)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Law Enforcement Officer License
- 22+ years of age
- 2+ years of professional law enforcement experience in the U.S. after graduating from a certified law enforcement academy (Federal, State, or County level)
- Applicant must complete one of the following approved programs:
- Certified State law enforcement recruit training
- Certified County law enforcement recruit training
- Federal law enforcement training
- Programs approved by the Director
- No felony convictions or convictions for abuse of a household member under the Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968 or documented truthfulness infractions in violation of Giglio/Henthorn for federal impeachment proceedings (referring to the decisions in Giglio v. United States, 405 U.S. 105 (1972) and United States v. Henthorn, 931
F. 2d 29 (9th Cir. 1991)).
- Must be able to supervise Contractor’s personnel and work effectively with airport management, tenants, other law enforcement agencies and the public on matters relating to security disputes, complaints on the performance, conduct or behavior of subordinate employees.
- Shall have no record of moral turpitude, domestic violence, untruthfulness, or mental or emotional disorders which may interfere with performance of duties.
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
- Ability to exercise sound judgement and render immediate, appropriate decisions under stressful conditions.
- Maturity in conduct, behavior and attitude.
- Ability to take orders, follow instructions, accept and assume responsibility for one’s actions.
- Alertness, attentiveness, and professional conduct. Ability to recognize, respond and take appropriate and corrective actions to various situations.
- Strong moral character. Must possess high standards and be truthful.
- Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing in English.
- Courtesy in interpersonal relationships with the public, airport employees, tenants, law enforcement and security personnel.
- LEOs may be required to provide a court appearance for citations that are issued on behalf of DOTA. Contractor shall provide replacement staffing for LEOs that are required to attend a court proceeding.
