Pay Rate: $28.86 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $3.58. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee
Job Schedule:
- Tuesday: 11:30 PM - 08:00 AM
- Friday: 11:30 PM - 08:00 AM
- Saturday: 11:30 PM - 08:00 AM
- Sunday: 11:30 PM - 08:00 AM
- 2+ years of professional law enforcement experience in the U.S. after graduating from a certified law enforcement academy (Federal, State, or County level)
- Graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or Equivalent (must provide credentials upon applying)
- Valid Driver's License
- Law Enforcement Officer License
- 22+ years of age
- Certified State law enforcement recruit training
- Certified County law enforcement recruit training
- Federal law enforcement training
- Programs approved by the Director
- No felony convictions or convictions for abuse of a household member under Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968 (18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(9)) or documented truthfulness infractions in violation of Giglio/Henthorn for federal impeachment proceedings (referring to the decisions in Giglio v. United States, 405 U.S. 105 (1972) and United States v. Henthorn, 931
F. 2d 29 (9th Cir. 1991)).
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions.
Knowledge and Skills Required- Must be able to supervise Contractor’s personnel and work effectively with airport management, tenants, other law enforcement agencies and the public on matters relating to security disputes, complaints on the performance, conduct or behavior of subordinate employees.
- Shall have no record of moral turpitude, domestic violence, untruthfulness, or mental or emotional disorders which may interfere with performance of duties.
- Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, and staff by following site‑specific procedures, access guidelines, and security‑related protocols at the location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and report conditions or concerns to the appropriate contacts.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry points, restricted areas, and credential‑related activity in accordance with location policies and applicable governmental requirements.
- Document daily activities, incidents, and observations, and support emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
