Position DetailsPosition Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $28.86 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $3.58. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.
Job Schedule:
- Mon: 11:30 PM – 08:00 AM
- Fri: 11:30 PM – 08:00 AM
- Sat: 11:30 PM – 08:00 AM
- Sun: 11:30 PM – 08:00 AM
- 2+ years of professional law enforcement experience in the U.S. after graduating from a certified law enforcement academy (Federal, State, or County level).
- No felony convictions or convictions for abuse of a household member under Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968 (18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(9)) or documented truthfulness infractions in violation of Giglio/Henthorn for federal impeachment proceedings.
- Graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or Equivalent (must provide credentials upon applying).
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Law Enforcement Officer License.
- 22+ years of age.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions.
- Certified State law enforcement recruit training.
- Certified County law enforcement recruit training.
- Federal law enforcement training.
- Programs approved by the Director.
- Must be able to supervise Contractor’s personnel and work effectively with airport management, tenants, other law enforcement agencies and the public on matters relating to security disputes, complaints on the performance, conduct or behavior of subordinate employees.
- Shall have no record of moral turpitude, domestic violence, untruthfulness, or mental or emotional disorders which may interfere with performance of duties.
- Mental and emotional capability to perform all duties required for the assigned post/duties.
- Physical health to perform normal or emergency duties requiring moderate to arduous physical exertion such as standing, walking, patrolling for an entire shift, climbing stairs, running, and self-defense.
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs. (e.g., fire extinguisher) for a designated distance.
- Assisting in the safe evacuation of individuals, including carrying a small child or providing support to persons with limited mobility.
- Subject to a random drug screen.
- Must be able to exercise physical force if required, in the execution of official duties.
- Be able to pass a security background check conducted by the DOTA pass and e.
- Well‑groomed and neat in appearance as an officially commissioned representative of the State.
- Pass and complete a one‑time physical examination within the past 6 months.
- Pass a 12‑panel drug test and all future random drug testing.
- Correctable vision to 20/30 each eye with normal color vision.
- Able to hear at a normal conversational level; a hearing aid may be used.
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
- Exercise sound judgment and render immediate, appropriate decisions under stressful conditions.
- Demonstrate maturity in conduct, behavior, and attitude.
- Take orders, follow instructions, accept and assume responsibility for one’s actions.
- Maintain alertness, attentiveness, and professional conduct.
- Recognize, respond, and take appropriate corrective actions to various situations.
- Show strong moral character and truthfulness.
- Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, in English.
- Maintain courtesy in interpersonal relationships with the public, airport employees, tenants, law enforcement and security personnel.
