Security Planner

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Security Planner to join our team! In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the safety of personnel, infrastructure, and classified assets by implementing security measures, managing risk, and maintaining compliance with all relevant directives and regulations. The role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and the ability to coordinate with multinational and interagency partners in dynamic and challenging environments.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Implement Antiterrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) measures tailored to the INDOPACOM threat environment and contract requirements
  • Manage access control, perimeter security, intrusion detection, and automated surveillance systems for DoD bases
  • Oversee program security budgets, track deliverables and KPIs, and manage subcontractor agreements to ensure contract performance and profitability
  • Conduct continuous vulnerability assessments and mitigate risks to physical assets and supply chains
  • Develop, test, and execute emergency response, disaster, and evacuation plans in coordination with military command
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with host-nation military, local law enforcement, embassy security, and corporate headquarters
  • Ensure strict adherence to USINDOPACOM directives, NISPOM, DoD instructions, and SOFA agreements
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate multinational guard forces, contractor personnel, and specialized security teams
  • Ensuring that transportation activities are safe, compliant, efficient, and aligned with operational requirements for the US Department of War (DoW), national security agencies, and international clients
  • Assist in development of transportation plans, routing solutions, and schedules for inbound, outbound, and intra-theater movements (air, sea, ground, rail)
  • Monitor transportation activities in real time, adjusting plans to address risk, delays, disruptions, or changing mission priorities
  • Interface with carriers, freight forwarders, and government transportation offices to confirm bookings, resolve issues, and ensure on-time delivery
  • Develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and performance reports; recommend corrective actions and process enhancements
  • Identify transportation risks (security, schedule, regulatory, environmental) and support mitigation strategies and contingency plans
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with internal and external stakeholders regarding requirements, constraints, and statuses

What Skills You Bring

  • Active Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance
  • Minimum 8 years of military, law enforcement, or defense contractor security experience, including 3+ years in the Indo-Pacific region
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Criminal Justice, International Relations, or a related field
  • Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP) preferred
  • Deep understanding of Joint Travel Regulations (JTR), Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) security clauses, DoDM 520008, and INDOPACOM-specific regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and evaluate diverse security teams in challenging environments
  • Equivalent military or industry experience may be considered
  • US citizenship may be required due to contract and security requirements
  • Willingness to work extended hours, shift work, or on-call support during surge or contingency operations
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including to austere or high-risk locations, as mission requirements dictate

  • Comfortable working in austere, remote, or high-tempo OCONUS environments across the Pacific theater
