Security Guard

Equity Staffing Group is seeking a professional and dependable Security Guard to provide onsite security support in a front reception area. This position will help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and guests.

• Maintain a visible security presence at the front reception area
• Monitor individuals entering and exiting the facility
• Greet visitors and assist with established check-in and access procedures
• Monitor the reception area for suspicious or concerning activity
• Respond appropriately to security concerns, disturbances, or potential threats
• Help de-escalate situations calmly and professionally
• Notify management, building security, or emergency services when appropriate
• Enforce facility access and safety policies
• Document security incidents and unusual activity
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive situations
• Partner with reception staff and leadership to promote a safe workplace

• Previous security, loss prevention, military, law enforcement, or related experience preferred
• Strong situational awareness and observation skills
• Professional and calm demeanor
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle difficult or potentially confrontational situations appropriately
• Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the shift
• Any state-required security licensing or credentials must be current, if applicable
