Maintenance Floater

Hawaiian Building Maintenance is looking for an experienced Maintenance Floater to perform general maintenance, repairs, and grounds upkeep across multiple locations. The role reports to the Chief Building Engineer or Account Manager‑Engineering and requires safe, EPA/Hazmat/OSHA‑compliant work practices.

• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs: painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC.
• Provide excellent customer service to property managers, vendors, and customers.
• Drive to different locations to give coverage.
• Lift, push, pull, walk, bend, stretch as required (minimum 50‑75 lbs).
• Ensure mechanical equipment and systems operate correctly and are fixed as needed.
• Create and maintain work orders.
• Create and maintain purchase orders.
• Perform additional maintenance duties as directed by HBM supervisor or property management.

• Pass the HBM prescreen check.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Availability for a flexible schedule, including after‑hours, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic hand tools and experience with commercial plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and drywall.
• Troubleshooting ability and mechanical aptitude.
• Strong communication, public relations, and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to perform manual labor, clean common areas, and lift up to 75 lbs, reach overhead, grasp objects, bend, kneel, crawl, squat, climb, stretch, walk, and use ladders.
• Willingness to learn and improve.

• Compensation: $25.00 – $26.00 per hour
