Position: BUILDING MAINTENANCE WORKER I - KAUAI

Job Overview

Department of Transportation, Harbors Division – Skilled Building Maintenance Worker (Recruitment Number 26‑0034).

Location:

Lihue.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform skilled building maintenance and repair work as a regular and continuing assignment.
• Supervise one or more building maintenance helpers or other assistants as assigned.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Citizenship, national, permanent resident alien, or other authorized status to work in the United States.
  • Four (4) years of work experience performing a variety of building maintenance and repair work, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Valid driver’s license (required for this vacancy).
  • Ability to lift and carry objects of various weights with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) clearance – must not have a disqualifying criminal offense within seven years. Applicant pays the cost of the records check; the state reimburses upon submission of TWIC receipt.
