Overview
Carpenter I – works on construction, alteration and repair of structural woodwork and wooden articles. The position is a continuous recruitment that may close at any time.
Responsibilities- Perform a wide variety of skilled carpentry work, including rough and finished carpentry.
- Construct, alter, and repair structural woodwork, wooden articles, and related items.
- Supervise one or more Carpenter Helpers or other helpers assisting in the work (if assigned).
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States per State of Hawaii requirements.
- Four (4) years of work experience in rough and finished carpentry or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Valid driver’s license may be required for some positions.
- 13 paid holidays per year (14 in an election year).
- 21 days paid vacation per year from the first year of employment, up to 90 days.
- 21 days paid sick leave per year from the first year, with no limit on accumulation.
- Health insurance with state subsidized premiums.
