Air Conditioning Mechanic - Oahu

Responsibilities

Independently performs skilled preventive maintenance work in operating, maintaining, repairing, and overhauling a variety of air conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilation systems and equipment and performs other related duties as assigned.

• Legal authorization to work:
  Citizen, national, or permanent resident alien of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.
• Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in the maintenance and overhaul of air conditioning and/or refrigeration equipment as a helper or apprentice under a journey-level air conditioning and/or refrigeration mechanic.
• Relevant substitutions as described in the Minimum Qualification Requirements apply.
• Certification required: EPA Universal Technician under Section 608 of the Clean Air Act, 1990, as amended. Application will be rejected if a copy of the certificate is not submitted at the time of application.
• Valid driver’s license at the time of appointment.
• Physical requirements:
  
  Ability to lift and carry items of various weights with or without reasonable accommodation.
