Crane Operator
This notice is part of the Modified Direct Hire Authority and does not accept applications through the flyer itself.
Responsibilities- Operate cranes at all boom lengths, angles, and positions up to rated capacities.
- Perform operator maintenance and prepare an Operator’s Daily Check List.
- Plan for safety and clearance factors during crane operations.
- Operate mobile or ship‑mounted cranes.
- Determine critical lift plans and use cranes to load and unload equipment and supplies amid obstructions such as ship's masts and antennas.
- Ensure clearances for load lift, movement, and placement.
- Work in close coordination with ground personnel, such as riggers, including following hand signals, radio directions, and tag‑line guidance.
- Possess knowledge of rigging standards and methods.
- Assist in selecting or installing rigging gear.
- Demonstrated experience operating cranes under normal supervision, covering all boom lengths, angles, and positions up to rated capacities.
- Valid state‑issued Commercial Driver’s License, Class B or higher.
- For Hawaii applicants, a State of Hawaii Class B (or higher) CDL with a copy of the CDL to be provided with the application.
- Experience may be paid, unpaid, or volunteer, including work done through National Service programs that builds relevant competencies, knowledge, and skills.
