PAC provides end‑to‑end services, from concept through installation and technical support, in areas such as custom home theaters, networking, security and access control, distributed audio/video, lighting control, and energy management.
This is a full‑time, on‑site Lead Technician role based in Maui. The Lead Technician will oversee and execute the installation, configuration, and testing of electronic systems, including home theater, audio/video distribution, networking, security, lighting control, and system integration solutions. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include reading and interpreting plans and schematics, pulling and terminating cables, mounting and programming devices, performing system calibrations, and troubleshooting technical issues.
The person in this role will lead and mentor field technicians, coordinate tasks and timelines, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to company quality standards. Collaboration with project managers, designers, contractors, and clients will be essential to confirm requirements, provide updates, and deliver a professional on‑site experience.
- Strong hands‑on skills in installation, wiring, and termination for audio/video, networking, security, and control systems.
- Experience reading blueprints, drawings, and schematics, and translating designs into accurate field installations.
- Proficiency in system configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of integrated electronic systems.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team coordination, on‑site supervision, and mentoring of junior technicians.
- Clear, professional communication skills for working with clients, contractors, and internal teams, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet project deadlines.
- Comfort working on ladders, lifts, and in varied construction environments, with adherence to safety standards and practices.
- Relevant industry experience in low‑voltage systems, AV integration, or electronic systems installation; certifications (e.g., CEDIA, CTS, low‑voltage licenses) are a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to project sites on Maui.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or education in electronics, IT, or related fields is beneficial.
