Main Responsibilities- Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers
- Perform preventive maintenance on truck and trailer equipment with little or no supervision and in a timely manner
- Repair and troubleshoot components such as engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, fuel system components, etc.
- Keep your work area clean and safe
- Use Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics

- 3 years of practical vehicle maintenance experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
- Specialized training and experience in diagnosing/troubleshooting major components (engines, transmissions, differentials), OEM training courses, ASE certification, and 608/609 certifications (preferred)
- Experienced using tools of the trade (diagnostic equipment, hand tools, power tools)
- Valid driver’s license required
- Problem‑solving ability
- Excellent customer service and communication skills

- Willingness to work in non‑climate‑controlled conditions
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to comply with specific instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, or other information established by Penske management
- Ability to perform all work in accordance with DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies, including correct selection and use of tools, PPE, machine guarding, and best safety practices
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential
- Must maintain an up‑to‑date DOT driver qualification file, including annual MVR check, DOT physical, safety performance history; CDL holders require DOT drug screening within 30 days of start and FMCSA Clearinghouse review
- Willingness to travel within the district as needed, work required schedule, complete employment application, background screening, and drug screening
- Move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods
- Use hands to grasp, reach, touch, handle, feel, and operate tools or controls
- Work safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms
- Work safely in all weather conditions
- See and hear to navigate workplace with large trucks
- Regularly lift or move up to 50 lb (23 kg) and occasionally up to 100 lb (45 kg); push/pull truck tires exceeding 100 lb
Pay: $33.75/hr
Shift Differentials: 2nd Shift $3.00, 3rd Shift $4.00, Weekends $3.00
