Field/Service Technician, Telecoms Engineering
Role Overview
We are looking for a Field Telecommunications Technician in the Maui, HI area who has a strong desire to resolve technical issues, is flexible, learns quickly, and can work independently while providing support and guidance to our customer base on SONIFI products.
No desk here! Your day will be spent supporting our customers in your region. We will supply you with the tools needed for success: a company vehicle, tools, cell phone, laptop, and technical support.
ResponsibilitiesAs the face of our organization, you will be responsible for resolving technical issues, troubleshooting and maintaining high‑speed internet, satellite TV, digital TV, IPTV, and other telecom equipment for hospitality and healthcare customers. You will communicate thoughtfully and professionally with staff at hospitality customers and adhere to boundaries, protocols, and empathy needed in healthcare environments.
You will also adapt to changing priorities and requests, handle on‑call duties, work occasional overtime and weekend hours, and travel outside your assigned region as required.
Qualifications & ExperienceTechnical degree or equivalent.
- Minimum one year of related experience in high‑speed internet and Wi‑Fi, satellite TV, digital TV, IPTV, telecom, RF, CATV, MATV, or head‑end.
Valid driver’s license and safe driving habits. Must be able to drive the company vehicle and travel occasionally outside your assigned region.
BenefitsCompetitive salary, generally starting at $27‑36 per hour, based on location, experience, education, specialty, and training. Eligible for PTO, holidays, health, dental, vision, retirement plan, pet insurance, on‑demand pay, and other benefits.
