Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC is looking for an Electronic Tech C
- Alarms to support our government customer located in Kekaha, Hawai‘i. Under close supervision, the candidate will troubleshoot, repair, inspect, overhaul, modify, calibrate, install, and operate fire alarm, intrusion detection, and access control systems.
- Perform periodic inspections and maintenance tasks in accordance with published procedures and/or OEM guidelines. Document results of all installation, maintenance, and equipment records.
- Troubleshoot and repair systems and equipment by reading and interpreting electronic and mechanical schematics and using simple and complex test equipment.
- Install, check, calibrate, and perform acceptance tests on newly installed or relocated alarm and data systems and equipment.
- Work safely and efficiently, following all applicable national and Navy protocols.
- Prepare and submit periodic reports.
- Maintain configuration control documentation on assigned systems.
- Perform other duties as required.
Office conditions are varied and include physical tasks such as lifting, pushing or pulling over 25–50 pounds (with a 2‑person assist). Physical positions include walking, standing or sitting for extended periods, crawling, kneeling or cramped work. The environment will include customer contact, extended workdays, confined office laboratory area, field assignments, and sometimes inclement weather.
Education and Certification- High School or equivalent.
- Satisfactory completion of a two‑year technical school or equivalent training such as Navy “A” school or recognized correspondence. Technical schooling can be substituted for experience.
- Have or be able to obtain CPR/AED/First Aid.
- Four (4) years of experience in a related field of assignment.
- Possess and demonstrate fundamental knowledge of basic electronics theory and computers, and be capable of interpreting schematics and understanding electrical and electronic symbols.
- Must be able to perform all tasks in accordance with verbal and written instructions to the established standards.
- Work safely and efficiently, following all applicable national and Navy protocols.
- Must possess the following PC skills:
Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Secret security clearance is required. Applicants selected must either currently possess a Secret clearance or be subject to a government security investigation. They must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or closed/restricted areas throughout the duration of employment.
