Clearance RequirementApplicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship. Selected applicants must have the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance.
License Requirement- Journeyman or Master License in Electrical or Mechanical, highly preferred
- EPA Certification, highly preferred
- Ensure all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center is operating at peak efficiency through planned preventative maintenance, daily corrective work, and emergency response.
- Serve as an expert technical resource reporting to a program manager, interacting with Onsite Engineering Operations and third‑party vendors.
- Act as a singular focal point for all facility operations within a given data center and support operated data centers. Ensure data‑center equipment that supports mission‑critical servers maintains better than 99.999% uptime.
- Meet all requirements of CET
1. - Utilize safe working practices; apply lockout/tagout, SDS, and good housekeeping methods.
- Use common administrative and office software.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, floor plans, construction documents, mechanical riser drawings, OEM operating and maintenance instructions, job specifications, and MOP/SOPs.
- Use hand tools and test equipment to install, troubleshoot, and repair parts for existing mechanical and electrical equipment covered under CET2 classified procedures, according to specifications and safety guidelines.
- Assist a CET3/4 technician with CET3 classified procedures and transfer knowledge to other technicians.
- Conduct daily walk‑through of the facility documenting parameters such as power availability, temperature, humidity, and alarm status; catalogue and compare data to identify discrepancies and trends.
- Be conversant in site‑specific processes and procedures (procedure creation and review, incident/outage reporting, PM standards, CMMS standards, work order notification, SharePoint usage).
- Understand how to action all site primary and secondary EOPs, master the first responder role during emergencies, and complete associated drills.
- Operate and maintain MV/LV distribution boards, MV/LV breakers, UPS, generator, batteries, STS, ATS, AHU, DX units, chillers, evaporator washer systems, CRAC units, fuel systems, ASCO systems, BMS, EPMS, and fire alarm system.
- Navigate BMS and EPMS systems, interpret alarms, and perform controlled shutdowns, start‑ups, and equipment rotations.
- Disable and enable fire alarm control panels and systems, if applicable.
- Maintain maintenance records as required by city, state, and EPA regulations.
- Interpret building codes and local/federal regulations as they relate to installations and apply them as required.
- Identify required materials and parts for maintenance and repair to facilitate procurement.
- Diagnose heating system components and refrigeration cycles, using appropriate test devices.
- Perform power density and HVAC parity calculations for cooling and heat loss.
