What you will do

• Customer Service: Respond to customer needs, inquiries and requirements in a professional, prompt, respectful and courteous manner at all times.
• Performance Requirements: Diligently respond to work orders, assignments and other work requests in a timely manner consistent with response and rectification times outlined in the Facility Maintenance Services Agreement (FMSA). Mobile service work will be performed across a site network through the Greater Toronto Area in a company vehicle, primarily at Humber River Hospital and Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital, with planned future expansion to other locations.
  
  Work independently in coordination with site-based Facility Maintenance teams, attend troubleshooting calls, complete maintenance tasks, and replace systems at the end of their life. Candidates must have a clean driving record and comply with company vehicle policies.
• Teamwork: Work together with other maintenance staff, management, Facility staff and contractors in a cooperative, efficient and respectful manner to complete assigned work safely. Perform all duties in a safe, diligent and careful manner, strictly complying with Company and Site-Specific occupational health and safety policies, rules and requirements. Ensure housekeeping and clean‑up standards are maintained.
• General Maintenance: Perform a variety of maintenance, repairs and services in a specialized building system environment with a high emphasis on HVAC, Mechanical Systems, building maintenance, carpentry, painting, plumbing, and working knowledge of Electrical/Electronic BAS and related equipment defined by the FMSA.
• Classification Specific: Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on facility equipment and systems, comply with all internal and external requirements, monitor and inspect equipment, communicate and record observations, maintain logs, and ensure work meets quality, contract response and all other requirements. Track maintenance status within service management database, collaborate with subcontractors, recommend spare parts and supplies, maintain tool inventory, and assist with facility‑related project work.

• Work flexible shifts, including on‑call/standby, emergency call‑outs, evenings, weekends and 12‑hour shifts when required.
• Willingness and ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Use hand tools, lift/carry 50 lbs., and work on ladders or step stools.
• Work extended periods on feet in a fast‑paced environment.
• More than 3 years of facility maintenance experience in hospital, university, food, manufacturing or other commercial/industrial institutions.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Good verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in English.
• Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS).
• Working knowledge of computers and handheld devices.
• Positive, professional disposition towards work, willingness to cooperate with co‑workers and supervisors, and strong client‑service orientation with a high sense of urgency.
• Ability to succeed in a team‑oriented environment under dynamic conditions.
• Maintain confidentiality of internal and client business activities.
• Report to the Operations Manager(s) on duty; receive and follow work direction from Central Dispatch Services and Lead Hands.

• Knowledge of Metasys.
• HVAC and Electrical knowledge.

Pay Range:
Hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
