Duties
* You will supervise workers directly or through subordinate lead mechanics in accomplishing the work of an organizational segment or group.
* You will plan / coordinate the distribution and integration of operations among work areas and employees based on priorities and schedules production and workload requirements, and the availability of equipment and personnel.
* You will work with the product and operations managers to ensure proper scheduling and timing of work activities.
* You will implement corrective actions to resolve work problems such as equipment shortages, limited staffing of personnel and conflicting priorities of requirements.
* You will inspect / oversee operation of the electrical distribution system as well as the maintenance repair activities to ensure proper quality of electrical output, efficiency, and safety.
* You will monitor and report to product and operations managers as to the progress of work, technical and personnel issues, additional equipment or personnel requirements, and of additional required schedule adjustments.
* You will conduct training and execute professional development of personnel. Requirements Conditions of employment

Qualifications Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.

1. Leading the activities of the work crews and leaders including knowledge of current procedures, policies, written instructions, and technical orders;
2. Training workers, passing along instructions, assigning tasks, gaining cooperation of others, setting and keeping to deadlines and the pace, and similar requirements;
3. Applying knowledge of mechanical and electrical makeup and operation of powered support systems, including their major mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and systems and pneumatic components; and 4. Using repair techniques to determine why engines, electrical components, hydraulic or pneumatic systems fail to operate or meet performance specifications and requirements (e.g. power output, temperature, load, frequency, speed, and pressure).
