Position: Aircraft Mechanic (CH-47)
ARS is looking for an Aircraft Mechanic (CH-47) to work in Honolulu, HI.  To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today!

** Responsibilities*
* + Perform advanced maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and modification of CH-47 Chinook aircraft, structures, systems, components, and powerplant-related systems.

+ Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, remove, replace, and install CH-47 aircraft mechanical components and assemblies in accordance with applicable technical manuals and maintenance procedures.

+ Maintain and repair CH-47 systems, including:

+ Flight control systems.

+ Rotor and drive systems.

+ Engines and associated components.

+ Transmissions and gearboxes.

+ Hydraulic systems.

+ Pneumatic systems.

+ Fuel systems.

+ Landing gear and mechanical systems.

+ Airframe and structural components.

+ Diagnose complex aircraft malfunctions and determine appropriate corrective actions using technical knowledge of CH-47 airframe, powerplant, drivetrain, and mechanical systems.

+ Perform troubleshooting, repair, adjustment, and replacement of aircraft components to restore equipment to proper operational condition.

+ Perform CH-47 airframe, sheet metal, and structural inspections, modifications, repairs, and component replacement as required.

+ Interpret and apply CH-47 technical data, including aircraft technical manuals, maintenance procedures, engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer documentation.

+ Utilize aircraft-specific tools, precision measuring devices, and test equipment, including torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, and other specialized aviation maintenance equipment.

+ Inspect and evaluate mechanical systems and non-complex electrical components to determine serviceability and proper operation.

+ Perform inspections, adjustments, rigging, and maintenance of CH-47 flight control and related mechanical systems.

+ Support scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, inspections, modifications, component changes, and repair activities.

+ Provide technical troubleshooting support and maintenance expertise to engineers, customers, supervisors, and other maintenance personnel.

+ Coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities to support aircraft production requirements and meet established aircraft delivery schedules.

+ Accurately document maintenance, inspections, repairs, component replacements, and corrective actions in applicable aircraft logs, records, and maintenance documentation.

+ Provide technical guidance, training, and assistance to lower-level aircraft mechanics and technicians performing CH-47 maintenance and modification work.

+ Ensure all CH-47 maintenance and modification activities are completed in accordance with applicable technical publications, maintenance procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.

** Qualifications*
* + High School graduate/GED or equivalent.

+ 3-5 years of experience working with Uh-60 aircraft.

+ Must be US citizen.
