Salary: $4,961 to $6,043 per month (SR-20, Step D to I).

Location: Department of Human Services, Office of Youth Services, Hawaii Youth Correctional Facility.

Position Overview: This role is responsible for planning, managing, and developing counseling, treatment, and case management services for adjudicated law violators committed to the HYCF by the family courts. The incumbent will also manage a caseload of juveniles under the jurisdiction of HYCF or Family Court for the provision of services.

• Plan, supervise, and coordinate counseling, treatment, and case‑management services for juveniles in the Hawaii Youth Correctional Facility.
• Manage a caseload of juveniles and ensure delivery of appropriate services in accordance with court mandates.
• Collaborate with family courts, correctional staff, and external agencies to guarantee comprehensive service delivery.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all legal and procedural requirements.

• Legal authorization to work in Hawaii, including citizenship, nationality, or permanent residency.
• Basic
  
  Education:
• Social Worker: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, or a doctoral degree accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges or comparable body.
• Human Services Professional: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four‑year institution with at least 12 semester credit hours in counseling, criminal justice, human services, psychology, social work, social welfare, sociology, or other behavioral sciences.
• Specialized
  
  Experience:
• Social Worker with a Bachelor of Social Work:
  One year of experience.
• Social Worker with a Master or Ph.D. in Social Work:
  No specialized experience required.
• Human Services Professional:
  One and one‑half years of specialized experience.
• Other requirements include drug screening, intensive background check, and compliance with the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) safeguards for all positions involving contact with inmates.
