FFWS Peer Mentor
This position is open to current students who are recipients of the Only Fund for Wisconsin Scholars (FFWS) program. The peer mentor serves in the OMSA office and acts as a campus contact for FFWS grant recipients, with a focus on first-year and new transfer scholars.
Job SummaryThe role helps students build strong connections to campus, increase engagement, and supports the overall goal of scholar retention and graduation.
Key Responsibilities- Mentor students and assist with the planning and implementation of FFWS events.
- Attend program activities and collaborate with fellow peer mentors.
- Maintain a professional work environment and submit timesheets and weekly summaries on time.
- Accurately enter data into Navigate and the FFWS database.
- Participate in weekly meetings with the supervisor.
- Consistently communicate, participate in events, and report data accurately to achieve program goals and student success outcomes.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- Must be an FFWS-eligible student (sophomore, junior, or senior).
$12 per hour.
