The Opportunity:We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Residential Specialist to join our Supported Housing Program on Oahu. This is a full-time, exempt position with an annual salary range of $45,760–$52,000, based on education and experience. What do you have to do? Housing Support & Advocacy:- Connect with landlords and partners to create housing opportunities.
- Guide clients in the housing search, from viewings to lease negotiations.
- Assist clients in making informed housing choices and provide ongoing support for stability, including budgeting and household setup.
- Advocate for clients with landlords and mediate tenancy issues.
- Help with transitions to long-term housing programs like Section 8.
- Support clients in setting and achieving housing goals.
- Conduct evaluations of housing and service plans.
- Provide education on safety, budgeting, and essential living skills.
- Offer follow-up through in-home visits.
- Collaborate with behavioral health providers and other community services.
- Participate in team meetings and case conferences.
- Maintain confidentiality and accurate client records.
- Complete reports on activities, services, and client progress.
- Assist with housing subsidy applications and maintain benefit information.
- Conduct client satisfaction surveys and submit daily activity logs for program development.
Education – A bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college is required (social work or human services preferred). If you do not have a BA, we have another similar position you may qualify for. Just send in your resume!
Driver's License – A valid Hawaii driver's license and a clean driver's abstract (no more than 3 violations in the past 3 years).
Experience – At least 1 year of experience working with individuals with special needs is strongly preferred.
Clearances – Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and sex offender checks.
Flexibility – Must be available to provide on-call support after hours as needed.
Transportation – Use of your personal vehicle with current registration, a safety check, and insurance is required. Mileage reimbursement IS provided for work-related travel.
