Position: Constituent Services Representative (Caseworker)

The Office of U.S. Senator Mazie K. Hirono seeks a dedicated, detail-oriented, and compassionate Constituent Services Representative (Caseworker) to join the state office in Honolulu, Hawaii. This position serves as a primary point of contact for constituents seeking assistance with federal agencies and programs. The Constituent Services Representative will advocate on behalf of Hawaii residents experiencing challenges with federal agencies while providing exceptional constituent service in a professional, nonpartisan, and timely manner.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Experience Level: This position is not entry-level. Prior professional experience is required.
  • Local Knowledge: Familiarity with and deep appreciation of Hawaii’s multi-ethnic society and the uniqueness of each island community.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Professional Standards: Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and strict adherence to confidentiality.
  • Organization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.

While not required, helpful experience includes working directly with federal agencies or within federal, state, or local government processes. Strong candidates will bring a background in constituent services, social services, legal services, non-profit work, or customer advocacy, along with a demonstrated track record of effectively engaging with diverse populations and vulnerable communities.

The ideal candidate is committed to public service, possesses strong communication and problem-solving skills, and can work independently and manage a diverse caseload in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strict confidentiality.
