Recruitment Number 26-153TO, Court Operations Specialist II (Personnel), SR-18, Lihue, Kauai.

Summary of Duties

Assists the Chief Court Administrator and/or designee in developing, recommending, evaluating, and reviewing studies of limited complexity related to policies, procedures, methods and/or techniques in court administration; assists in the preparation of budget requests, organizational proposals and reports, and coorespondence for the administrator; assists with research and follow up on certain personnel matters such as grievances, complaints, labor relation problems and other confidential matters;

and performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge or familiary with human resources functions, including recruitment, staffing, classification, labor relations, human resources information systems (HRIS), or other personnel-related activities.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Education:

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor s degree, or progressively responsible experience in administrative, professional, investigative, technical or other responsible work which has provided a general background of the type and quality described below may be substituted for the Bachelor s degree on a year-for-year basis.

General

Experience:

Applicants must possess six (6) months of progressively responsible technical work experience which involved analyzing, interpreting or evaluating technical material (e.g., statutes, rules and regulations); solving technical problems through the application of problem solving methods and techniques, such as identifying the problem and pertinent causal factors, developing and evaluating alternative solutions, and recommending/implementing an appropriate course of action; and writing narrative reports.

For example, qualifying technical experience may include, but is not limited to, responsibility for supervising or overseeing the operational activities of a unit or section whose primary function is the preparation and/or processing of legal documents OR technical experience which involved applying and interpreting technical material such as statute, rules, policies where no precedents are available.
