Relief Residential Assistant
Relief Residential Assistants are responsible to the Residential Services Coordinator or designated Supervisor. The position goals are to educate and motivate emotionally or mentally disabled adults toward community living through example and mentoring, within a residential setting. To provide sufficient supervision and management to assure appropriate client care in a residential setting.
Service responsibilities include serving as a caring and understanding role model, teaching residents basic living skills, acting clearly and prudently in emergency situations, planning and providing social, recreational, educational, and vocational activities, assisting with on-going household operations, assisting residents in the attainment of mutual treatment and program goals, assisting in documentation of resident records, providing care and supervision of residents, and other duties as assigned by Management/Supervisory staff.
Core expectations include customer service, adaptability/change management, communication & listening skills, conflict resolution & negotiation, problem solving, teamwork, systems thinking, organizational alignment, accountability & compliance, and utilizing resources & stewardship.
Qualifications include education and experience, professional/personal skills, licenses & certifications, physical demands, and work environment.
