- Operate TWO (2) or more types of light motorized equipment such as Farmall International or John Deere rubber‑wheeled tractors and pick‑up trucks as a major work assignment.
- May perform manual work tasks in connection with general construction and maintenance work.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Legal Authorization to Work:
Must be a citizen, national, or permanent resident alien of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States. - Experience and Training: ONE (1) YEAR of work experience involving the operation of at least two types of motorized equipment representative of the class Equipment Operator I (e.g., Farmall tractors and trucks having a factory rated capacity of less than 1-1/2 tons), or any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Possession of the required number of years of experience will not in itself be accepted as proof of qualification for a position. The applicant’s overall experience must have been of such scope and level of responsibility as to conclusively demonstrate that he/she has the ability to perform the duties of the position for which he/she is being considered. - Driver’s License:
Must possess a valid driver’s license at the time of appointment. - Physical/Certification Requirements:
Able to lift/carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted and lift/carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds assisted by another person and/or use of equipment (e.g., hoisting equipment, hand truck).

Testing and SelectionThe examination for this recruitment will be conducted on an unassembled basis where the examination score is based on an evaluation and rating of your education and experience. In‑person interviews and/or further testing in Hawaii may be required at the discretion of the hiring agency.
