Position Overview

C&S Wholesale Grocers desires to create the most safe, efficient, and service‑forward fleet in the country. As a Professional Driver, you will kick off your driving career by working with a Professional Driver Trainer who provides coaching and insight on the C&S Way, including company and regulatory requirements. After completing the new‑hire training program, you will maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through product deliveries while performing all other assigned duties in a safe and timely manner in accordance with Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).

• Starting Pay: $33 per hour

• Obtain safe and timely deliveries of product and services, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle (semi‑truck, eighteen‑wheel, or box truck) while applying knowledge of training and commercial driving regulations.
• Load and unload ambient or temperature‑sensitive product to customers, averaging 3–10 stops per day.
• Inspect, document, and ensure equipment is operable and compliant with regulatory and company requirements.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Travel is required.

• Minimum 1 year of recent tractor‑trailer experience.
• At least 1 year of recent applicable CMV experience or completion of a company‑approved CDL truck‑driving school.
• ClassA Commercial Driver’s License (DOT certified).
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid Department of Transportation Physical Exam.
• Knowledge of DOT, FMCSR, and company policies and procedures.
• Attendance, initiative, productivity, quality, safety, and values aligned with company culture.
• Ability to work in varied warehouse environments (freezer, perishable, and grocery warehouses).
