Job Summary
Courier Cooperation of Hawaii is an Obran Logistics company. Obran Cooperative is the first worker‑owned cooperative conglomerate in the US. We are looking for a qualified Freight Driver to join our team and will be responsible for safely operating a 16' to 18' box truck with a capacity of at least 24,000 pounds GVW.
Responsibilities- Delivers products to customers in a safe, courteous, and timely manner.
- Establishes and maintains positive relationships with customers.
- Reviews and verifies invoices and purchase orders when necessary to ensure accuracy.
- Inspects delivery vehicles and ensures the safety and security of the loading and unloading process.
- Contacts customers to confirm delivery details when necessary.
- Determines placement of merchandise and follows safety and lifting protocols during deliveries.
- Maintains delivery logs and records.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Preferred: at least one year of truck‑driving experience.
- Valid Type 3 Driver’s License.
- Clear communicator, reliable, and accountable.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to problem‑solve and work coherently as part of a team.
- Familiarity with local streets, neighborhoods, and routes.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to handle a physical workload of up to 50 pounds.
- Must pass a pre‑employment drug test.
- Must be willing and able to drive a flatbed and/or box truck.
- Considers applicants with arrest and conviction records.
$18 - $22 USD hourly, based on experience.
Schedule- Monday‑Friday, full time – all shifts available.
- Weekends, part time – all shifts available.
