Associate Parts & Distribution Job Summary

To receive, issue and order parts for in‑house aircraft and to issue repair orders on in‑house aircraft to outside repair facilities.

• Receive and log all aircraft parts and kits from TAPD.
• Issue parts and kits to shop floor, assisting mechanics with parts requirements.
• Handle outside orders from customers and prepare parts for shipment, requiring ability to read parts catalogs and knowledge of warranty versus exchange situations.
• Follow up on back order summary, coordinating with TAPD.
• Assist in routine and special inventories and issue purchase orders for supplies for parts room, such as boxes and other shipping materials.
• Assist in rebilling customers for repairs, freight, etc.
• Administer all TAPD consignment and exchange programs.
• Assist and mentor lower level grades as needed.
• Perform other related duties as required.

• Education:
  
  Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level Work Keys certification plus general knowledge of aircraft parts and blueprint reading.
• Experience:
  
  Aircraft parts or related experience preferred.
• Other qualifications:
  Excellent communication skills; ability to read, understand and analyze illustrated parts catalogs; ability to interoperate overhaul manuals and aircraft engine manuals; must be able to obtain and maintain an airport security badge through the local airport authority, if applicable; must be able to comply with Textron Company Vehicle Policy/Policies and standards.
