Warehouse Associate Job Description
This role supports warehouse and yard operations by handling materials, maintaining organized inventory, and assisting on construction job sites. You will perform a variety of physical tasks, help keep work areas safe and orderly, and support field and warehouse teams to ensure materials and equipment are available where and when they are needed. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as business demand fluctuates, and a driver’s license is not required for this position.
Responsibilities- Load, unload, and move materials throughout the yard, warehouse, and job sites in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assist with re-palletizing, staging, and organizing materials to support smooth warehouse and field operations.
- Perform site cleanup, including debris removal, sweeping, and maintaining clear and safe walkways.
- Support skilled trades by holding materials, preparing work areas, and transporting tools and equipment as needed.
- Conduct inventory counts by identifying items, recording quantities, tagging materials, and promptly reporting any discrepancies.
- Follow all safety protocols at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to hazard awareness procedures.
- Help maintain an orderly yard and warehouse layout by stacking, sorting, and labeling materials clearly and accurately.
- Perform regular physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, bending, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Communicate proactively with supervisors and team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and in the correct priority.
- Experience handling inventory, including counting, tagging, and tracking materials.
- Experience in shipping and receiving, including loading, unloading, and verifying materials.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working outdoors in varying conditions.
- Strong awareness of safety practices and consistent use of PPE and hazard control measures.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate tasks with supervisors and team members.
- Ability to organize materials and maintain a clean and orderly yard, warehouse, and job site environment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in the construction industry, including commercial, residential, civil, or specialty trades.
- Familiarity with Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate (CRE) or similar construction management software.
- Knowledge of job cost accounting and material cost tracking processes.
- Experience working with multi-site inventories and supporting field operations across different locations.
- Comfort working occasional evenings and weekends as business demand requires.
- Driver’s license is not required for this position.
This is a Contract position based out of Honolulu, HI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
