Development Review Engineer

Full‑time on‑site role located in Hood River, OR. Responsibilities include engineering reviews of development proposals, ensuring compliance with city codes and standards, reviewing site plans, infrastructure designs, and other technical documents, coordinating with developers, consultants, and city departments, conducting research, providing technical assistance, ensuring project compliance with environmental and engineering principles, assisting with Capital Improvement Projects, Right‑of‑Way permitting, and general engineering department coordination.

• Must have at least three years of education at an ABET‑accredited university, and a minimum of two years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position.
• Special requirements:
  Registered Engineer in Training (EIT) or ability to become licensed within one year of hire. Must possess a valid state driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to the City’s insurance. Must be physically capable of moving around construction work sites and under adverse field conditions.
