Jamie Benway with Robert Half is looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Hood River, Oregon, to lead and oversee financial operations for our non-profit organization. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership capabilities and a proven track record in managing finance teams and processes. This role requires someone with keen attention to detail who excels in strategic planning, financial reporting, and month-end close procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Direct and oversee all financial operations, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
- Manage month-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to align with the organization's goals and mission.
- Lead and mentor finance team members, fostering growth and development.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of financial processes.
- Ensure proper accounting controls are in place to safeguard organizational assets.
- Assist in budget preparation and forecasting to guide decision-making.
- Stay informed on industry trends and regulations to maintain best practices.

Requirements - Proven experience as a Controller or in a senior financial management role.
- Strong knowledge of month-end close processes and financial reporting.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop teams.

- Familiarity with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
