One Community Health (OCH) is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant Manager to provide day-to-day supervision and performance development for medical assisting staff. This role supports daily clinic operations and workflow. A successful MA Manager builds and fosters high-functioning, self-directed care teams that promote access, quality, continuity, and population health outcomes. This role will support staff in addressing patient care needs, optimizing team workflows, and advancing continuous quality improvement initiatives within the Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).
Responsibilities- Oversee Medical Assistants and clinical support staff, including hiring, onboarding, scheduling, performance management, and staff development, in alignment with OHC values and PCPCH principles.
- Partner with site leadership, care teams, and other specialists to optimize workflows, staffing, and electronic health record (EHR) use to support efficient, high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with FQHC/HRSA requirements, regulatory standards, infection control, and patient safety practices.
- Oversee assigned programs (e.g., immunizations, Reach Out and Read, apprenticeships/externs) and ensure appropriate equipment, supplies, and operational readiness.
- Model ethical and accountable leadership, serve as a resource to care teams, provide coverage as needed, and travel between health center sites as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program
- Minimum three (3) years of experience as a group leader or supervisor in healthcare
- Or a combination of equivalent education and work experience
- Experience with adult and pediatric primary care
- Familiarity with a variety of healthcare concepts, practices, and procedures
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence and working as part of a high-functioning team

- Salaried/Exempt:
Starting at $70k annually, increases dependent on experience - Bilingual Differential:
Additionally, we offer $0.75 per hour as compensation for bilingual proficiency in both English and Spanish. - Milage Reimbursement:
In accordance with OCH policy.
