Surgical Technician
- Operating Room at Providence Hood River Hospital. This is a Full-Time (1.0 FTE), Day Shift position, four (4) 10 hour shifts with call once per week and one weekend (48 hours) every 6-7 weekends.
$8,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment - this is in addition to the benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment.
Works closely with all members of the surgical team to provide direct patient care in an effort to optimize positive surgical outcomes. Assists the surgeon and surgical team during the procedure by providing the appropriate sutures, supplies, instruments and equipment. Maintains proper sterile technique during the procedure.

Required Qualifications- Completion of a surgical technology program accredited by the CAAHEP or ABHES and holds an active certification by the NBSTSA, JCAHPO, or NCCT.
- Completion of a training program in a branch of the armed forces or in the Public Health Service Commissioned Corp and who completed 16 hours of continuing education every two years.
- Grandfathered based on work experience in an ASC, hospital, or federal government agency between January 1, 2014 through January 1, 2017 and who complete 16 hours of continuing education every two years.
