Job Summary: The Information Support Coordinator serves as the Team Lead for the information support staff, working with schools and departments to manage information systems and identify technology solutions. This position coordinates the technical workflow of Information Support Technicians, providing a high-level tier of technical escalation and project oversight. This role works closely with staff to develop systems and user documentation, configure user settings, provide state reporting, define user roles, develop reports, extract data, provide user training, and assist with system updates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Coordinate and provide team leadership for the District’s information support technicians, serving as the primary lead for project delegation and workflow management.
- Serve as the secondary tier of technical support for Information Support Technicians, resolving escalated support requests and providing technical guidance.
- Provide support and training on how to extract data from all data systems to various users including building secretaries, TOSAs, data-entry technicians, and building principals.
- Maintain access to the Student Services system users including adding users and granting security rights.
- Manage support cases with software help desks and follow up as necessary to resolve programming and support issues.
- Build and maintain standard interfaces for exchanging data between the District’s student information systems and other applications.
- Provide tracking, oversight, and District-level support for all ODE required reports including ADM reporting, NCLB/LEP SMF file submissions, OPTE-MIS data submission, SSID file submission, Assessment Pre-Code file submission, and Data Integrity.
- Oversee and maintain system security protocols for all information systems used by the District.
- Assist users with building and maintaining custom reports such as Enrollment, Attendance, Immunization, Discipline, Locator Cards, and Mail Labels.
- Represent Hood River County School District at state-wide user group meetings to help resolve user problems and recommend program enhancements to data collection and information systems.
- Collaborate with District technology staff to coordinate data network needs and hardware support.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Work effectively with and respond to people from diverse cultures or backgrounds.
- Demonstrate professionalism and appropriate judgment in behavior, speech, and dress in a neat, clean, and appropriate manner for the assignment and work setting.
- Maintain regular and appropriate attendance and arrive on time for assignment(s) for the purpose of meeting the needs of the students and the district.
- Confer regularly with immediate supervisor.
- Follow all district policies, work procedures, and reasonable requests by proper authority.
- Maintain the integrity of confidential information relating to a student, family, colleague, or district patron.
- Develop job skills necessary to meet changes in the position.
- Meet applicable district physical ability/health and safety guidelines for the position.
- High School Diploma with a Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in a computer science-related field preferred.
- Prior job-related experience (paid or volunteer) in an information system or data management-related field.
- Possess current knowledge of information systems principles, procedures, and practices.
- High-level proficiency in data management systems and enterprise application software.
- Ability to serve as the "next tier" of support, troubleshooting complex issues escalated by Information Support Technicians.
- Ability to lead Information Support Technicians by coordinating project timelines, scheduling site support, and ensuring consistent service delivery across the District.
