JOB SUMMARYWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to serve as Director of Operations in a part‑time, benefited role. This position plays a critical leadership role in advancing child abuse prevention and intervention services for children and families in the Columbia Gorge region. This role offers approximately 20 hours per week with a flexible schedule during standard business hours.
REQUIREMENTS- 5+ years in social services or a related field supporting children, families, or vulnerable populations.
- 2+ years of administrative or leadership experience, including oversight of program operations, staff supervision, compliance, financial management, and policy development.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- Bachelor's degree in social services, business administration, nonprofit management, or public administration.
- Experience with fundraising, public relations, and nonprofit financial operations; familiarity with Quick Books for accounting and payroll.
- Serve as primary liaison to the Board of Directors, implement policies, attend meetings, and provide reports; support board committees and assist with strategic planning.
- Direct all program operations, including scheduling assessments, coordinating services for children and families, and ensuring compliance with child abuse intervention standards.
- Lead and collaborate with the Multi-Disciplinary Team of law enforcement, child welfare, and community partners to manage and prevent child maltreatment cases.
- Oversee all personnel functions, including recruitment, hiring, evaluations, and performance management; foster a positive, team‑oriented culture.
- Ensure organizational security, compliance, and professional representation in the community and at statewide network meetings.
- Develop and manage the annual budget in partnership with the Director of Development; monitor financial performance and ensure timely reporting to the board and CPA.
- Oversee payroll, billing, and financial recordkeeping for grants and IRS compliance; manage health insurance billing and assist with provider credentialing as needed.
- Provide culturally sensitive support during evaluations and program delivery.
- Monday through Friday between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM
- 20 hours per week, based on business needs
$40,000 - 45,000 per year; depending on experience.
