Job Description
Airbus Helicopters is looking for an experienced UAS Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our production team. The role involves the end‑to‑end assembly, calibration, and testing of mission‑critical aircraft components. You will work on advanced systems—from fuel lines to rotor heads—to ensure each build meets our 95 % First Pass Yield standard.
Responsibilities- Perform fabrication, assembly, installation, repair, replacement, adjustment, and alignment of metallic and composite parts and components.
- Conduct functional checks of systems for proper functioning.
- Work from three‑dimensional blueprints, sketches, diagrams, technical manuals, work orders, inspection reports, and other documentation.
- Build complex mechanical assemblies with written work instructions within established periods and processes with high accuracy and quality.
- Rotate through all tasks required in a particular production process.
- Set up and operate production equipment per current manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain production equipment and tools.
- Operate test equipment such as dynamo meters and oscilloscopes.
- Investigate failed and damaged components.
- Perform normal troubleshooting to diagnose malfunctions or failures on aircraft systems, including fuel system, landing gear, doors, fuselage, stabilizer, rotor systems, power plant, and engine controls.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two (2) years of mechanical assembly or related mechanical experience.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to read, interpret and follow written technical data.
- Familiarity with common mechanical type tooling.
- U.S. citizenship or appropriate work authorization (green card holder or person covered under ITAR license).
Bingen, Washington – in the Columbia River Gorge.
Travel5 % domestic and international.
Physical Requirements- 95 % onsite; 100 % vision and hearing; 100 % speaking; 100 % equipment operation; 100 % carrying and lifting 30 lb; 50 % pushing/pulling; 10 % sitting, squatting/kneeling; 80 % standing; 5 % travel; 50 % walking; required personal protective equipment (safety shoes, glasses, hearing protection, respirators/masks, and gloves).

Hourly pay range based on profile: $20.55 – $33.97 per hour.
