Respiratory Therapist

This position requires floating between units based on needs. On-call duties are not required. Weekends are required for this position. Block scheduling is required. Expected patient ratios are 1 per shift. Special requirements include ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications. PALS certification is strongly preferred but not mandatory. The majority of patient interaction will involve pediatric patients through the emergency department. Typically, pediatric patients will not be kept outside of the emergency department.

The patient population is primarily adult. Care provided will mainly follow standardized protocols and does not involve a high volume of critical cases. The facility operates as a critical access and is a Level III Trauma Center with a total of 25 staffed beds. Daily census averages around 17 patients with approximately 30 visits per day. The workforce includes interdisciplinary support from respiratory services and rapid response teams.

Travelers may be expected to float between facilities based on the contracted agreement. Providers must have a vehicle for this assignment. This role includes responsibilities in adult critical care and emergency respiratory interventions. The job encompasses various respiratory therapy skills within a supportive environment.
