Compensation: $24/hour
Position SummaryThis position will perform a variety of moderate-level tasks efficiently by applying established standard techniques and methodologies, ensuring consistent quality and accuracy in outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Applies sound technical judgment and follows best practices with strong subject matter competence.
- Collects, documents, and manages high-quality field and sensor data using established protocols.
- Works effectively in remote, physically demanding field conditions and over uneven terrain.
- Prepares, installs, operates, calibrates, and maintains field equipment and instruments.
- Organizes, maintains, and manages field equipment and deployment logistics.
- Supports technical analysis using appropriate tools and methodologies.
- Ensures accurate field notes, data integrity, and high-quality deliverables.
- Compiles field data for reports and presentations with attention to detail.
- Follows safety protocols and properly uses required safety equipment.
- Manages tasks efficiently, meets deadlines, and provides regular status updates.
- Communicates clearly, flags issues proactively, and collaborates professionally with clients and team members.
- Demonstrates financial awareness, supports proposal development, builds professional networks, and commits to continuous learning and improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, environmental science, or related field is preferred but not required.
- 2+ years of experience.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Strong computer skills including those related to field data collection, organization, and basic data management tasks.
Physical Requirements
This role requires frequent travel to outdoor work sites and may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, rough terrain, and physically demanding tasks such as lifting up to 40 lbs., prolonged standing, or walking.
Travel RequirementsTravel requirements vary by project and season and may be significant. During peak field periods, travel may account for up to 100% of work time and will include multi-day field hitches and overnight travel. Occasional overtime is not uncommon.
Hourly Rate$24/hour
