This position is Bilingual Spanish Required. Please indicate on your application material if you have bilingual Spanish language skills. There is a 5% bilingual language differential.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct interviews to determine family needs and eligibility, and complete program applications for program benefits and, if eligible, issue appropriate support.
  • Engage clients in family evaluation of strengths and jointly develop a case plan and identify the steps the family will take towards self-sufficiency and meeting their basic needs.
  • Monitor progress, needs, and make necessary modifications to the case plan.
  • Initiate and participate in case staffing, employment readiness, life skills training, and supports job search as needed.
  • Assist with crisis and safety planning for individuals experiencing domestic violence.
  • Explore alternate resources and link clients to community services and may also assist with supporting resources and services within the community.
Minimum Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a Behavioral Science, Social Science, or a closely related field.
  • OR 1 year of human services related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in any field.
  • OR 2 years of human services related experience with an Associate’s degree in a Behavioral Science, Social Science or a closely related field.
  • OR 3 years of human services related experience.
Essential Attributes
  • Experience supporting families with case management tools and resources.
  • Experience creating and maintaining written documentation of activities concerning individual client cases.
  • Experience with case management and assessing customers’ strengths & service needs.
  • Experience in communicating, establishing boundaries and setting realistic goals/milestones.
  • Experience explaining complex rules, regulations, processes, and procedures both verbally and in written communications.

Working Conditions
  • Work schedule:

    8 a.m. – 5 p.m. PST, Monday – Friday. Occasionally may need to adjust schedule based on service need. No remote work.
  • Position is in a storefront office.
  • Requires flexibility to assist various district offices on a temporary and long-term basis to ensure continuity of operations.
  • Fast-paced environment.
  • High volume of individual and family contact.
  • Exposure to diverse range of customers with compassion, professionalism, cultural and trauma-informed lens.
  • Contact with domestic violence survivors; self‑care and available resources are important.
  • Work conducted in offices, participants' homes, and other community sites.
  • Hours may vary day to day; may include evenings and weekends.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
