Avionics Technician

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Avionic Technician to join a leading aerospace and defence programme supporting the maintenance of Chinook helicopters at RAF Odiham
. This is a long-term contract offering excellent rates of pay and the opportunity to work on one of the UK's most critical rotary-wing platforms.

As an Avionic Technician, you will carry out scheduled and unscheduled avionic maintenance on Chinook helicopters undergoing Primary and Primary Star maintenance. Working within a highly skilled team, you will operate under both Military (QR640) and Boeing Part 145 authorisation schemes, ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely and to the highest quality standards.

• Carry out avionic maintenance on Chinook helicopters.
• Inspect, remove, replace and functionally test aircraft electrical and avionic systems.
• Diagnose faults and perform rectification activities.
• Complete maintenance documentation in accordance with military and Boeing procedures.
• Work in compliance with QR640 and Part 145 maintenance regulations.
• Ensure all work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards.
• Support the wider maintenance team to achieve programme objectives.
• Proven experience as an Avionic Technician within a rotary-wing environment.
• Held, or able to obtain,
  1st Signature responsibilities on rotary aircraft.
• Working knowledge of both Military Maintenance Organisation (MMO) and Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) aviation requirements.
• Experience carrying out inspection, replacement and operational testing of aircraft systems and components.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance documentation and procedures.
• Current Security Clearance (SC) or the ability to transfer an existing SC,
  required from day one
  .

• £38.00 per hour.
• Additional £3.00 per hour retention bonus after six months.
• Initial 12-month contract with potential for extension.
• Day shifts only with regular overtime available Monday to Thursday.
