Job Summary

Hendrick Subaru (Hoover) – 2929 John Hawkins Pkwy, Hoover, Alabama 35244. Responsible for cleaning and refurbishing new and used cars. This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

• Cleans interior and exterior of vehicles.
• Waxes and buffs exterior of vehicles.
• Vacuum and cleans vehicle upholstery.
• Cleans engine.
• Paints engine.
• Applies touch‑up paint to chipped body surfaces of vehicle.
• Maintains CSI at or above company standards.
• Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area.
• Participates in required training.
• Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system.
• Follows safeguards rules and regulations.
• Demonstrates the company’s core values.
• Complies with company policies and procedures.
• Observes all federal, state, local and company safety rules and regulations during duties.
• Other duties as assigned.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following:

• Knowledge, skill, and/or ability to clean, wax, paint, and detail automotive vehicles.
• Ability to operate detailing equipment.
• Basic computer skills for timekeeping system.
• Strong communication skills to understand and follow instructions and to communicate with customers and colleagues.
• Reliable attendance with capacity to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Education

• GED or High School Diploma (required).
• Associate, Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate Degree (preferred).

Field of Study / Work Experience

• Accounting.
• Automotive.
• Business.
• Human Resources.
• Information Technology.

Desired Work Experience

• Up to 3 years.
• 3–5 years.
• 5+ years.

Other Credentials

• Valid driver’s license.
• Automobile salesperson license (preferred).
• Experience in detailing (desired).

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Work in the detailing area of the dealership and may extend to various indoor and outdoor areas. Frequent movement in and out of cars, contact with vehicle cleaning and painting products, outdoor wet conditions, limited customer interaction.
