Job Description
The Assistant Professor of Nursing & Pre‑Licensure BSN Program Coordinator will support the launch and ongoing development of the new Pre‑Licensure BSN program by providing both teaching and program leadership. This position assists with regulatory and accreditation requirements, oversees program logistics and scheduling, supports curriculum and clinical partnership development, and contributes to student advising and communication. The role coordinates compliance processes and documentation across didactic, lab, and clinical components to ensure program quality and readiness.
The position includes teaching responsibilities across the PLBSN and RN to BSN Programs, along with designated release time as part of the faculty workload to support PLBSN program coordination duties.
- Earned Master's degree in nursing (or a closely related discipline) or Doctorate degree ABD from a regionally accredited institution.
- Will not be considered for tenure without completion of a doctoral degree.
- Leadership experience in academic or healthcare settings, including program coordination, administrative responsibilities, or evidence of strong leadership potential.
- Supervisory experience and skills in organization, planning, communication, and data/systems management.
- Ability to manage confidential student, personnel, and clinical records in compliance with FERPA, HIPAA, and clinical partner requirements.
- Evidence of effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to teach effectively at the undergraduate level and to support students through advising, mentoring, or academic guidance.
- Evidence of ability to assess student learning at the baccalaureate level.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, rural health, and student‑centered success.
- Earned doctorate in nursing or a closely related discipline from a regionally accredited institution.
- Two to three years of experience in nursing education, program coordination, accreditation, or regulatory compliance (e.g., ACEN Standards, Minnesota Board of Nursing rules, NCLEX‑RN preparation frameworks).
- Experience with curriculum development, clinical coordination, and/or simulation.
- Experience supporting program startup, change management, or quality improvement processes in academic or clinical settings.
